The 7,072-yard, par-72 East/West rotation has earned the time-honored distinction as “the original Sawgrass.” The Sawgrass Oceanside Course (East-West) gained its reputation as the original home of PGA Tour THE PLAYERS CHAMPIONSHIP from 1977-1981 when the course, along with the treacherous March winds, tested the greatest players in the game. The par-72 East-West course has an array of spectacular golf holes, most notably the daunting par 5, East No. 4 with a tantalizing peek at the ocean as you make your way from the green to the next tee.
