Located along the Atlantic Coast, Sea Island is distinguished as being one of the four Golden Isles of Georgia. It is almost 60 miles north of Jacksonville, FL. and 60 miles south of Savannah, GA. The island was privately purchased by Howard E. Coffin in 1911 and golf was introduced to the area by 1927. Rees Jones and Tom Fazio – two of the most distinguished golf course architects in the world – reconstructed the courses in 1999 to produce the luxurious greens that are played on today. Recently, Sea Island has become host to the RSM Classic of the FedEx Cup since it was started in 2010. With over 90 years of strong traditions, Sea Island will give families and friends memories never to be forgotten.
